A message from Ray Waddell

Dear Concert Industry Professionals:

The Billboard Touring Conference & Awards will begin move into its second decade with our 11th annual event, November 19-20, 2014 at the Roosevelt Hotel. Last year, our 10th anniversary, was our biggest ever, with an advance sellout and our most compelling discussions to date. Your feedback has encouraged us to bring you exactly what you are looking for: the best content in the live business, a unique program that is geared to inform and educate, and of course, keep you up to speed on everything you need to know in order to succeed in the challenging but thriving business.

The Billboard Touring Conference is billed "Where Live Music Lives," and that's not an empty slogan. I know it to be true that conversations and introductions in the hallways, bars and lobbies of the Roosevelt have directly led to epic performances, fruitful collaborations, and innovative strategic alliances. The successes and challenges discussed on our panels can and do impact how many tickets get sold the following year. We are proud to provide a forum to help move the live music business forward with the brightest minds in the industry.

If you have attended in the past, you are well aware that the Billboard Touring Conference has become known for hosting attendees and speakers that are the elite industry players, including established concert industry executives, up-and-coming entrepreneurs, and influential decision makers. The conference is a fertile ground for the growth and exchange of new ideas. The content and networking at the Touring Conference are laser-focused on ways to build careers, sell more tickets, create rewarding partnerships, and stay ahead of the curve in the most vital sector of the music business. As always, programming is continually upgraded and customized to fit the needs of concert business stakeholders today.

Most importantly, our programming will not only tell you what happened in ways you can use, but will also tell you what is going to happen, and why, more critical than ever as we move begin our next decade serving the touring industry. Considering that we have grown significantly every year, even with expanded capacity we expect another sellout in 2014, so I urge you to book your registration early.

Please help us move the industry forward at the 2014 Billboard Touring Conference. We promise to deliver informative keynote interviews, captivating sessions on hot button issues, networking cocktail parties and showcases, plus our grand finale, the Billboard Touring Awards—honoring the industry’s top artists, professionals and venues of the year. We are confident that this will be the most rewarding and memorable evenings of the year for this dynamic business. In addition to honoring box office achievement as determined by Billboard Boxscores, Billboard also presents its prestigious Legend of Live Award, Humanitarian Award and Concert Marketing & Promotion Award. Touring industry success in 2015 begins at the 11th Annual Billboard Touring Conference & Awards, Nov. 19-20 in NYC!

I'll see you where live music lives!
